Virender Sehwag, the former explosive opener, is still confident that India can win the upcoming Asia Cup. He thinks this is the perfect opportunity for the team to test themselves before they want to defend their T20 World Cup title at home next year.
This Asia Cup is big for Suryakumar as it’s his first major tournament as captain. He took over from Rohit Sharma. Rohit decided to step down from this format after India’s T20 World Cup win last year.
Since Suryakumar became captain, India has been on a good run, winning 12 games, losing 2 and one tie. They have also won 4 series in a row so Sehwag has a lot of hope for Suryakumar and the team.
