Jasprit Bumrah will play in the third Test against England at Lord’s. Indian captain Shubman Gill announced this after the win at Edgbaston.
Bumrah was rested for the second Test at Edgbaston as per plan. Still India won by 336 runs, their biggest Test win outside of India. Gill and his team now have tied the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series 1-1.
In the post-match press conference Shubman Gill said Jasprit Bumrah will play at Lord’s on July 10. Gill said Bumrah is playing at Lord’s.
Bumrah’s return will strengthen India’s pace attack. Akash Deep did well in his absence, took 10 wickets in the match. He took 6-99 in the second innings, second Indian bowler after Chetan Sharma (1986) to take 10 wickets in a Test in England.
Siraj also bowled well, took 7 wickets in two innings. Prasidh Krishna will probably be replaced by Bumrah as he couldn’t take wickets and stop runs.
