After the revival of the Men’s Hockey India League (HIL) in December 2024, fans will see the inaugural edition of the Women’s Hockey India League take place in January 2025.
The first-ever season of the Women’s HIL will commence on January 12, 2025, marking the beginning of good days for women’s field hockey in the country.
A total of four women’s teams will participate in the 2025 season over a period of two weeks. Delhi SG Pipers will kick off the tournament by squaring off against Odisha Warriors in the opening clash.
In a double round-robin format, each team will be up against the other three sides twice, playing six games each. The top two teams on the points table will have a shot at taking the trophy home in the final scheduled for January 26.
All Women’s Hockey India League 2025 matches will take place at Ranchi’s Jaipal Singh Stadium.
