Deepti Sharma is now just one step away from being the number one bowler in the ICC Women’s T20I rankings. She has moved to the second spot while Smriti Mandhana has slipped to the second spot in the batting rankings.
Deepti is tied with Sadia Iqbal of Pakistan at the second spot with 732 points. She is just four points behind Annabel Sutherland of Australia who is at the top with 736 points. Sutherland hasn’t played a T20I since March when she took 4 wickets against New Zealand. Even though she hasn’t played recently, her points haven’t changed. Many bowlers above her lost points last week which is why she is still at the top.
