10. Ishan Kishan (16 Balls)
There have been five batters with 16-ball fifties in the IPL. Ishan Kishan was the second batter with fifty off 16 balls. He did it against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2021 in Abu Dhabi. Ishan scored 84 runs off 32 balls, with 11 fours and four sixes. MI scored 83 runs in the powerplay, and Ishan scored 63 of them. MI made 235/9 in 20 overs, and SRH only managed 193/8 to lose by 42 runs. This is the fastest IPL fifty for Mumbai Indians.
9. Suresh Raina (16 Balls)
The fastest fifty for Chennai Super Kings was registered by Suresh Raina off 16 balls. He registered it in Qualifier 2 of the 2014 edition against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). Raina played one of the freakiest innings in the IPL, when he scored 87 runs off just 25 balls, with 12 fours and six sixes and a strike rate of 348. CSK were chasing 227 to win and finished at 202 and lost by 24 runs. Virendra Sehwag (122 off 58) scored a century in that game for Punjab.
8. Jake Fraser McGurk (15 Balls)
Australian star Jake Fraser McGurk made his IPL debut in 2024 for Delhi Capitals. He hit three half-centuries, and all three came with 19 or fewer balls. He slammed a 15-ball fifty against Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium in a record-breaking game. Batting first, DC posted a massive score of 257/4, with McGurk scoring 84 off 27 balls, with 11 fours and six sixes. This is the joint-fastest fifty for DC in the IPL. MI made 247/9 and lost by a close margin of 10 runs.
7. Jake Fraser McGurk (15 Balls)
Before scoring a 15-ball fifty against MI, Jake Fraser McGurk had another 15-ball fifty against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Arun Jaitley Stadium in the IPL 2024. It was another high-scoring game as SRH made 266/7 in the first inning. Travis Head (89 off 32) scored a 16-ball fifty in the first inning. In rely, McGurk gave DC a good start and scored 65 off 18 balls, with 5 fours and seven sixes. But as soon as he got out, they lost the momentum, and DC got all out for 199 runs and lost by 67 runs. But Fraser McGurk announced himself in the IPL with this innings.
6. Nicholas Pooran (15 Balls)
Nicholas Pooran has played many blistering innings in his IPL career, and his fastest fifty came while chasing 213 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Chinnaswamy Stadium. This was the same game, which ignited the rift between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir in 2023 when Avesh Khan through the helmet after the last run. Well, RCB posted a big total of 212/2 on the board with the top three scoring half-centuries. Marcus Stoinis played well for his 65 off 30. Pooran, on the other hand, slammed a 15-ball fifty and made 62 off 19 balls with four fours and seven sixes and helped LSG make 213/9 to win the thriller.
5. Sunil Narine (15 balls)
Sunil Narine is one of the greatest bowlers in IPL history, but he also has some amazing knocks with the bat in his hand. One of the best knocks came against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens in the 2017 edition. RCB made 158/6 in the first innings, and KKR had a 105-run partnership in 6.1 overs between Chris Lynn (20 off 22) and Narine (54 off 17). Narine slammed a 15-ball fifty to help KKR reach 159/4 in 15.1 overs and win the game.
4. Yusuf Pathan (15 Balls)
Former Indian star Yusuf Pathan has the second-fastest 100 and joint-third fastest 50 in the IPL. He slammed a 15-ball fifty while playing for Kolkata Knight Riders. It was the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. SRH made 160/7 in the first innings, and KKR were 78/4 when Pathan played a match-winning knock of 72 off 22 balls, with 5 fours and seven sixes to take KKR to a 4-wicket win.
3. Pat Cummins (14 Balls)
Pat Cummins is one of the greatest modern-day bowlers in the world. But he has also achieved some batting feats in his career, including the joint-fastest fifty in the IPL. It came in the 2022 edition in a game between MI and KKR at DY Patil Stadium. MI made 161/4 in the first inning. Cummins’ slammed a 14-ball fifty at the time when other KKR batters got out. Batting at no. 7, he scored an unbeaten 56 off 15 balls with four fours and six sixes and took his team over the line. KKR made 162/5 in 16 overs to win the game.

2. KL Rahul (14 Balls)
KL Rahul is one of the best batters in the IPL, and his record says it all. He holds the record for the second-fastest fifty in the IPL. It came in a game between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in the 2018 edition in Mohali. Gautam Gambhir-led Delhi made 166/7 in the first innings. Chasing the target, Rahul gave the team a great start with a 14-ball fifty. He made 51 off 16 balls, with six fours and four sixes, and Punjab reached 167/4 in 18.5 overs to win by six wickets.

Star Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal holds the record for the fastest fifty in the IPL, which came off just 13 balls. He registered it against KKR during the 2023 edition at Eden Gardens. Rajasthan Royals were chasing 150 runs to win, and Jaiswal slammed a 13-ball fifty and made an unbeaten 98 off 47 balls, with 12 fours and five sixes. RR made 151/1 in 13.1 overs to win the game, and Jaiswal won the match award. He was unfortunate to miss a century but registered the record for the fastest IPL fifty.
