Hong Kong cricket sixes 2024 (HK6) Tournament: Rules
The Hong Kong Sixes cricket tournament comes with some specific rules, which are mentioned below:
- This is known as the fastest format of the game, as every game gets finished in 45 minutes.
- This is a cricket match between two teams, and every team must have six players.
- Every inning will have six-ball five overs from both sides (the final will have five overs of 8-ball each).
- All five members of the fielding team, except the wicketkeeper, will bowl one over each in the innings.
- If all five batters got dismissed before the completion of 5 overs, then the last standing batter will play with the 5th batter, who will only act as runner. The last standing batter will face all the remaining balls until he gets out.
- Once a batter reaches 31 runs, he will have to retire not out. He can come back to bat once all batters are out or retired not out.
- Every win will give two points to the team.
- No-balls and wides will give two extra runs.
