Performance in IPL 2024
Sam Curran had a decent outing in the 2024 season for Punjab Kings (PBKS). The left-hander was Punjab’s third-best bowler after Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh, racking up 16 wickets at an average of 26, though his economy was upwards of 10.
Curran also scored handy runs, as he accumulated 270 runs at a strike rate of 123.28, including two fifties. He also led the team in eight matches in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan, winning three of those games.

After his impressive start in international cricket, IPL franchises set an eye on Sam Curran. Punjab Kings snapped him in the 2019 auction for INR 7.2 crore.
The Kings released him the next year, but Chennai Super Kings (CSK) swung into action and bought him for INR 5.50 crore. Curran stayed with CSK for two seasons, after which he took a break from the 2022 edition.
Curran returned for the 2023 season, and PBKS spent a whopping INR 18.50 crore in the mini auction to acquire him, making it the most expensive bid of the season.
