The Indian team squad for the ICC World Cup has been announced by the BCCI. The team that will compete in the T20 World Cup is a mix of experienced and fresh talent.
The team would be led by Rohit Sharma as the captain and Hardik Pandya serving as the vice-captain. The tournament would be co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies. The final match would take place on 29th June and Barbados.

The batting order of the team is led by top-order batsmen such as Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Suryakant Yadav, while Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson have been entrusted with the duty of wicketkeeping.
The all-rounder squad includes Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel to provide balance for the team and also enhance the ability to contribute with both bat and ball.
The queue of bowlers includes Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammad Siraj, and Spinner, including Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. The spin-heavy bowling lineup selected for the tournament is a strategic move based on playing conditions in the USA and West Indies.
The reserved players’ squad would have Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Avesh Khan, who will be ready to step in if required. The squad also announced the return of Rishabh Pant to international cricket for the first time since his accident in December 2022.
The teams that are taking part in the T20 international can make changes in the squad if needed until May 25, after which any alteration in the team would then require approval from the ICC’s Event Technical Committee.

Teams that would be facing India for the First Time in T20 Internationals
India is placed in Group A of the Tournament alongside Pakistan, Ireland and Canada. The T20 cricket campaign of India will kick off on June 5 against Ireland at the newly constructed stadium named The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, followed by a match against Pakistan that will take place on June 9 at the same stadium.
