MS Dhoni was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame by the International Cricket Council this week. He was one of 7 new members added to the list, joining the likes of Matthew Hayden, Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith, Daniel Vettori, Sana Mir and Sarah Taylor.
With this, Dhoni became the 11th Indian to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining the likes of Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sunil Gavaskar.
To celebrate his induction, MS Dhoni was felicitated by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association. Pictures went viral of JSCA President Ajay Nath Shah Deo giving Dhoni a flower bouquet.
Former Indian cricketer and Jharkhand local Saurabh Tiwary also joined in the celebration by presenting Dhoni with a cake. Tiwary made his debut for Team India under Dhoni’s captaincy in 2010 and was part of the Indian team that won the 2010 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
At 43, almost 44, Dhoni recently captained the CSK team in the IPL 2025 season. While some reports said this might be his last season, Dhoni has hinted that he might come back for IPL 2026 next year.
