The India-England series was exciting, historic and unforgettable but exhausting. The five-test series was the first in eight years where every match went to the last day. Many players were injured because they had to play more. Mohammed Siraj was the only fast bowler who bowled in all possible innings for his team. The players, coaches and staff need a long break to recover from the happiness, adrenaline and mixed feelings of tying the series 2-2.
Because the team won, fans want more. As soon as the series ended, people were asking on social media when will the Indian men’s team play next.
The answer is a bit tricky. According to the schedule, India’s next match is against UAE on September 10 in the 2025 Asia Cup in T20 format. Then they will play Pakistan on September 14 and Oman on September 19. They need to be in top two of their group to reach the Super-Four stage. Top two teams from that stage will play in the final.
So fans have about five weeks to wait for the next game.

Will Team India play in August?
The Indian team was also planning a white-ball tour to Bangladesh this month which included three ODIs and three T20Is. But due to political issues between the two countries, that tour has been postponed for now. The BCCI and BCB gave different official reasons.
“This decision was taken after both Boards talked and considered the international cricket schedules and what works best for both teams, the release said. “BCB looks forward to having India in September 2026 for this series. We’ll announce the new dates and schedule later.There are reports that Bangladesh tour might be replaced with a Sri Lanka tour. Media in Sri Lanka is positive about this. But nothing is confirmed and there’s not much time to arrange everything.
