Sarfaraz Khan is on fire. He scored a hundred in the Kanga League and now another in the Buchi Babu tournament. In his second appearance in the invitational tournament this season, he played a brilliant 111 against Haryana.
Though he was not picked for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series against England, Sarfaraz seems to be willing to do whatever it takes to get back into the team, showing a lot of grit and determination.
On the first day of the Haryana-Mumbai match, Sarfaraz scored his hundred in the final session. It took him 99 balls, that’s how quick he can score. When he reached the milestone, he took off his helmet and enjoyed the cheers from Shams Mulani and the rest of the Mumbai team.

Sarfaraz started the season well, scoring a hundred in the Buchi Babu opener against TNCA XI. He has played his shots from the first ball and has been at his most aggressive in both his hundreds. He doesn’t let the other team set the terms or bowl as they want.
Sarfaraz cramped up while playing against Haryana.
Karun Nair and Sai Sudharsan both failed to make the most of their chances in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series against England. Now there is an opportunity to take the No. 3 spot and another in the lower-middle order.
Sarfaraz played for India in the Test series against Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which India lost 1-3.
Sarfaraz scored 150 in the second innings of the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand in 2024. He also played for India A in the unofficial Tests against England Lions.
Sarfaraz’s brother Musheer and Divyaansh Saxena added 69 runs for the first wicket after winning the toss in the game against Haryana. Nikhil Kashyap got rid of Musheer.
Mumbai were 84/4 before Sarfaraz and wicketkeeper Hardik Tamore added 117 for the fifth wicket. After Mumbai were 226/6, Sarfaraz scored 30 more for the seventh wicket with Mulani before Kashyap got him out.
