Mark Chapman, Martin Guptill, and Glenn Phillips, all three have belonged with the spectacular batter’s group of New Zealand and made a mark by hitting a 19-ball fifty in T20Is.

Starting from Chapman, the 31-year-old scored a magnificent 78 runs off just 28 balls, including a 19-ball fifty, to lay down a huge total for New Zealand in the second T20I against the West Indies on November 6. His innings consisted of six boundaries and seven sixes, at a very impressive striking rate of 278.57. His scoring made it possible for New Zealand to set a target of more than 200 runs thereby leading to the victory of the Kiwis
Also during the New Zealand tri-series, Glenn Phillips scored his 19-ball fifty while defending the Bangladesh team by scoring 60 runs off 24 balls in October 2022. He maintained a superb pace of 250, blasting five sixes and hitting two fours during his inning.
On two occasions, the first one in 2016 and the second in 2019, Martin Guptill has done it by writing a 19-ball fifty. He has scored 63 runs off 25 balls vs. Sri Lanka in January 2016 at a strike rate of 252, hitting five sixes and six fours. Then in November 2019 at Auckland, he was again in 19 balls, finishing with 50 runs off 20 deliveries.

The right-handed batter literally ran to the Bangladesh bowlers, first getting a fifty of 18 balls and then scoring a total of 71 runs off just 29 balls. His electrifying innings comprised of 10 fours and 3 sixes with a phenomenal strike rate of 244.82.
Taskin Ahmed eventually got his wicket but the slow and sluggish pitch at Auckland hardly worked to the advantage of Bangladesh. The visitors performed miserably in their attempt to get 142 runs, the same as New Zealand, as they got all out for a mere 76 runs.
1. Colin Munro – 14 balls
Colin Munro, one of the greatest hitters of all time from New Zealand, is the owner of the record for the fastest fifty in T20I cricket for the Kiwis. The left-handed giant did it in 2016 against Sri Lanka, making a half-a-century in just 14 balls while chasing a target of 143.
