ICC champions trophy is currently one of the most trending topics of cricket. Cricket fans all over the world are waiting eagerly for the tournament to start. One of the most difficult tournaments is set to start from the next Month.
Team India is all set to start as one of the favourites to win the title,Rohit Sharma and company looks a balanced team in both the departments be it batting or bowling.
But,In this article we are going to name 3 players who might be benched for the entire Tournament.
1. Rishabh Pant
One of the most aggressive and stylish batsmen of the modern era Rishabh Pant has made a name for himself in test match cricket. While Pant is a clear match winner in test cricket his ODI stats don’t do justice to his potential. In 31 ODIs Rishabh has scored 871 runs with just 5 fifties and 1 hundred.

So there are chances of Rishabh Pant warming up the bench in ICC champions trophy 2025.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the most promising youngsters and is surely a superstar in the making. Yashasvi Jaiswal already has shown his potential in the longest and Shortest format of the game. The Southpaw has the ability to play in both the gears making him a vital 3 format player for India. Yashasvi Jaiswal already has 2 test double 100 and 1 T 20 hundred,but the left hander is yet to make his ODI debut for India.
Yashasvi will have straight competition from Shubman Gill who is currently the Vice captain of India. The right-handed batsman has scored 2328 runs in 47 ODIs at an impressive average of 58.2 . Shubman already has 13 fifties,6 hundreds and 1 double hundred in the format.

3. Washington Sundar
Washington Sundar has been one of the talented youngsters and has been a regular member of Team India’s test and T 20 set-up. Sundar has the ability to contribute both with the bat and ball making him a valuable player.
However Washington Sundar might not be able to play a single match in the ICC champions trophy. Team India already has Ravindra Jadeja who’s going to be part of playing 11 for team India.
After Jadeja there is Axar Patel who has been doing incredibly well in White ball cricket with both bat and Ball. Axar Patel has so far played 60 ODIs for India and has 64 wickets. Apart from this Axar also has 568 runs that include 2 fifties with the bat.
