The inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League is all set to begin on 17th August 2024. This DPL season will have a total of six teams competing in the round robin format where the teams will play over 30 plus matches across a duration of three weeks.
The tournament will first begin with league stage matches that will have the six teams competing with each other. Then the tournament will shift to the knockout stage of the tournament, where the top four teams of the points table will go in a head to head clash in the semi-finals.
The semi finals of the Delhi Premier League are all scheduled to take place on September 6 and September 7 respectively. The winner of these semi-finals will see each other in the Final of the 2024 season.
With a focus to develop local talent and provide them with a platform to showcase their talent the Delhi & District Cricket Association has decided to introduce this league.

The six teams of the Delhi Premier League are all set to participate in the tournament which is set to begin on August 17 and would continue to September 8, 2024, at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi.The teams performance is noted down on the points table with each team performance noted down as win, lost, matches played and their corresponding net run rate. Based on the points table standings the top four teams will clash in the semi finals for the year 2024 and then the two winners will get into the finals.

Featuring a total of 40 matches this league is set to witness youngsters bring their A game in the tournament. There would be 33 matches for the men’s category and women’s category. The teams will play league stage matches for around 30 matches and then based on their points table performance the top two teams of the tournament will go in a head to head clash to lift the ultimate trophy. The Winner would carve a special name and would be recorded as the inaugural season winner.
