Duleep Trophy, India’s First-Class Domestic Cricket is all set to commence on September 5, 2024, in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, and M Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru.
This year, BCCI decided to discontinue the Duleep Trophy’s zonal format. Previously, six teams participated in the Red-ball domestic league based on India’s geographical zones – North, East, West, South, North East, and Center.
Instead of six, this year only four India teams- A, B, C, and D will fight for the one of First class highest regard. The 2024 Duleep Trophy is going to be one of the star-studded seasons as several players from India’s National Test Teams and many emerging talents compete with each other.
In the 1st match of the Duleep Trophy 2024, Team India A and India B will face each other on September 5th at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru starting at 9:00 AM.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Captain Team India A and India B
India’s star opener Shubamn Gill will lead India A in the tournament. So far Shubman Gill has played 25 International Test cricket where he bagged 1492 runs with an average rate of 35.52 in 46 innings. 24-year-old Gill has scored 4034 runs with a 49.80 average rate in 52 First-class cricket games.
On the other side, India B will be led by uncapped First Class player Abhimanyu Easwaran who has quite impressive Test stats as an opener in First-Class cricket. 28-year-old, Abhimanyu Easwaran has bagged 7006 runs with a steady 47.65 average rate. His highest score is 233 in the FC cricket.
