The role of a finisher in T20 cricket can’t be understated. And given the high-scoring intent among teams, they have a bigger role to play these days.
The same will be applicable in the IPL 2025 season, as 10 teams look to outbat each other. So who will be the best finisher in IPL 2025?
Here’s our prediction on the five best finishers in IPL 2025 who could be potential game-changers for their teams.
1. Andre Russell

Well, Andre Russell doesn’t need any special introduction. We know what he brings to the table. Russell’s power-hitting is second to none. He can muscle the ball with full power if it’s in his arc.
Last season, Russell struck at 185 while scoring 222 runs in nine innings. In IPL 2025 as well, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter would like to smash hard.
2. Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya comes from the same school of power-hitting. The Mumbai Indians (MI) captain can swing the momentum of the match with his late blitz.
Pandya is also coming off good form with the bat, which is a big positive for MI. And he is likely to step up with MI lacking decent finishers alongside him.
3. Shashank Singh

Shashank Singh had a breakout season with Punjab Kings (PBKS) last year. He plundered 354 runs at a strike rate of 164.65 lower down the order.
Thanks to his impressive performance, the franchise has backed him for another season. Shashank will be back again to do what he is best at and hope to deliver game-changing performances.
4. Tristan Stubbs

Like Shashank, Tristan Stubbs had a breakthrough season last year. After Delhi Capitals (DC) gave him a long rope, the South African showed his hard-hitting skills.
Stubbs accumulated 378 runs at an outrageous strike rate of 190.90 while maintaining an average of 54. He is someone who can keep going until the job is done.
And the Capitals will expect Stubbs to come good again while he finishes the innings for him in IPL 2025.
5. Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen is unarguably the best batter going around in the T20 circuit since 2023. And he displayed it in the last two IPL seasons while turning up for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Klaasen will be back again in the orange jersey in IPL 2025 and would like to continue with his bashing. He can be equally ruthless against pacers and spinners while closing out SRH’s innings.
