10. Mayank Agarwal (45 balls)
Sometimes T20 cricket can be cruel, which we saw in a game between Kings XI Punjab v Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 edition. Batting first, PBKS scored 223/2 in the first inning. Mayank Agarwal scored a 45-ball ton and scored 106 off 50 balls, with 10 fours and seven sixes. It is his maiden IPL ton and second-fastest for PBKS in the IPL. But it was overpowered by Sanju Samson’s 85 off 42. RR made 226/6 in 19.3 overs to win the game.

9. Sanath Jayasuriya (45 balls)
Former Sri Lankan star Sanath Jayasuriya was known for his powerhitting at international level, and he brought that to the IPL. He played three IPL seasons for MI and scored one century. That came against Chennai Super Kings in a dominating chase. CSK made 156/6 in the first inning, and Jayasuriya made the mockery of the target. He slammed a 45-ball century and scored an unbeaten 114 off 48 balls, with nine fours and 11 sixes to seal the deal for MI as they reached 158/1 in 13.5 overs.
8. David Warner (43 balls)
Australian opener David Warner is probably the best overseas batter in IPL history. He is the only player to win the Orange Cap three times, and all came while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Warner slammed a 43-ball ton against Kolkata Knight Riders during the 2017 season at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. Batting first, SRH posted a big total of 209/3, with Warner scoring 126 runs off 59 balls, with ten fours and 8 sixes. That set the tone for the team. KKR couldn’t reach the target and made 161/7 to lose the game by 48 runs.
7. AB de Villiers (43 balls)
AB de Villiers retired as an IPL legend. He had three centuries in his IPL career, and all were remarkable. He, along with Virat Kohli, holds the record for the highest IPL partnership. It was in the 2016 season against Gujarat Lions. RCB made a massive total of 248/3 with a 229-run stand for the second wicket. Virat made 109 off 55, and De Villiers slammed a 43-ball ton and remained unbeaten at 129 off 52 balls, with 10 fours and 12 sixes. RCB dismissed GL for just 104 runs and won by 144 runs.

6. Adam Gilchrist (42 balls)
Adam Gilchrist was one of the most dangerous batters in world cricket during his playing days, and that is how he impacted the IPL. Gilchrist led Deccan Chargers to the title in 2009. Gilchrist also slammed the fastest hundred in the IPL for the franchise. It came against Mumbai Indians during the 2008 edition. MI made 154/7 runs in the first inning, and Deccan Chargers reached the target in 12 overs. They made 155/0 and won by ten wickets. Gilchrist slammed a 42-ball century and made 109* off 47 balls with nine fours and ten sixes.
5. Will Jacks (41 balls)
The new generation of superstars is equipped with a different mindset; that’s what Will Jacks showed in a game against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium during the 2024 season. Royal Challengers Bengaluru were chasing a big target of 201. Jacks and Virat Kohli (70* off 44) added 166 runs for the second wicket, and RCB won by 9 wickets, making 206/1 in just 16 overs. It was carnage for Jacks. The English batter scored his fifty off 31 balls and completed his century off 41 balls. He slammed his next 50 runs off just ten balls.
4. Travis Head (39 balls)
Travis Head has established himself as a dangerous batter with an aggressive approach. In the IPL, he has played some incredible innings already. He recorded a 39-ball century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru when Sunrisers Hyderabad posted the highest IPL total of 287/3. It was the 30th game of the 2024 edition at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Head scored 102 off 41 balls, with nine fours and 8 sixes. RCB also tried hard and reached 262/7 but lost by 25 runs. Head’s 39-ball century is the fastest hundred in the IPL for SRH.

3. David Miller (38 balls)
David Miller has some of the fastest hundreds at international level and in the IPL as well. He holds the record for the third-fastest hundred in the IPL. It came in chase when Punjab Kings were chasing 191 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Mohali during the 2013 edition. Punjab were struggling at 64/4 in 9.5 overs, then came David Miller. He slammed a 38-ball century and made 101* off 38 balls, with 8 fours and seven sixes to take his team to win by six wickets.
2. Yusuf Pathan (37 balls)
Former Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan was known for his powerhitting. He has played some of the fastest knocks in the IPL and holds the record for the second fastest hundreds in the IPL. He registered it against Mumbai Indians during the 2010 edition while chasing a big target of 213. MI batted first and scored 212/6. Chasing the target, Rajasthan Royals were 4/66 in 9.2 overs, needing 149 runs off 64 balls. That was the time when Yusuf played an incredible innings of 100 off 37 balls, with nine fours and 8 sixes. Unfortunately, he was run out, and RR finished at 208/7 and lost by just four runs.

1. Chris Gayle (30 balls)
Scoring a century of 30 balls was once looked impossible, which is rare even today. But Chris Gayle did it in the 2013 season against Pune Warriors when he played an iconic knock of 175 unbeaten. It was the game at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, and RCB batted first and posted a score of 263/5. Gayle slammed a 30-ball century. He finished with 175* off 66 balls, with 13 fous and 17 sixes. Gayle’s 175 not out is the highest score by a batter in this format. RCB bowled Pune Warriors out for 133/9 and won by 130 runs.
