Jos Buttler was sold to Gujarat Titans (GT) for 15.75 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. The bidding began with Rajasthan Royals (RR), his previous team, but GT quickly entered the race, competing fiercely with RR. As the price surged past 10 crore, PBKS and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) also showed interest. After intense bidding, GT secured Buttler for 15.75 crore.
The wicketkeeper-batter has accumulated over 3500 runs and will look to add more in the upcoming season.

Jos Buttler IPL Debut
Jos Buttler played his debut match in the IPL on April 9, 2016. He represented Mumbai Indians against Rising Pune Supergiants in the season opener.
It was a disappointing debut outing for Buttler, as he bagged a two-ball duck while batting at No. 4. But he had a decent season, scoring quick knocks in the middle order. Buttler amassed 255 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 138.58.

Jos Buttler experienced a mixed season in IPL 2024. Even though he scored 359 runs in 11 innings, 207 of them came in two innings thanks to his two hundreds. In most of the other innings, Buttler struggled to get big runs under the belt.
