The 18th season of the IPL is underway and most teams have played seven to eight games each. In this season, no player has scored a hundred although two-three players have come close but they decided to forego the opportunity and rather chose to finish the game. Last year, a total of 13 hundreds were scored, the highest in any season.
Most 100s in IPL History
This year, no player has scored a hundred but the players are expected to break the curse. No IPL season has ever gone with an individual hundred.

1. Virat Kohli

The former RCB captain has scored eight hundreds in 17 seasons with four of them coming in the 2016 season. Apart from this, Kohli had to wait for three years to score another hundred. In 2019, the T20 World Cup winner scored one century but waited for another four years to score two more hundreds. Last year, he scored his eighth hundred.
2. Jos Buttler

The former England captain scored his maiden hundred in 2021 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2021. This was followed by four hundreds in the 2022 season. Last year, the T20 World Cup 2022 winning captain scored two hundreds. All these hundred came when he was playing for Rajasthan Royals. This year, his highest score for Gujarat Titans is 97 not out.
3. Chris Gayle

Arguably the biggest legend in the IPL, Gayle scored six hundreds before playing his last in 2021. Having played for four teams, the two-time T20 World Cup winner scored his maiden hundred in 2011. In the same season, the left-hander followed up with another hundred. In the next two seasons, he scored a hundred each, followed by another one in 2015. His last hundred came in 2018.
4. Shubman Gill

The Gujarat Titans captain has scored four hundreds out of which three came in the 2023 season where he won an Orange Cap. Last year, he scored his fourth hundred. This year, the Champions Trophy 2025 winner has been decent with the bat.
5. KL Rahul

The Champions Trophy 2025 winner is currently playing for Delhi Capitals, having played for multiple teams in the past. Meanwhile, his maiden hundred came in 2019, followed by another one in 2020. Two seasons later, he scored two hundreds, both against Mumbai Indians.

6. Shane Watson

The two-time IPL winner with Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings scored a hundred each in 2013 and 2015 seasons for RR. In 2018, his last two IPL hundreds came for the Super Kings, a season he ended up winning with the Kings. Watson retired from IPL after the 2020 season.
7. David Warner

The 2016 IPL winning captain scored two hundreds each for Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He scored two hundreds for the Capitals in 2009 and 2016 and two for Hyderabad in the 2017 and 2019 seasons. Warner went unsold in the 2025 auction and is assumed to have played his last IPL game already.
8. Ab de Villiers

The former South Africa captain scored three hundreds, one for Capitals in 2009 and two for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2015 and 2016 seasons. De Villiers played his last in 2021 and is currently working as a broadcaster.
9. Sanju Samson

The T20 World Cup 2024 winner has scored one hundred for the Capitals (2017) and two for Rajasthan Royals (2019 and 2021). Notably, he has more T20I hundreds than the IPL hundreds. Samson was expected to repeat his international heroics but has failed to do so.
10. Hashim Amla

The former South Africa international, predominantly a Test cricketer, broke the myth in 2017 while playing for Punjab Kings. He played only half of the season due to the Champions Trophy but scored two hundreds at a higher strike rate. Amla showed the world that he could play T20 cricket too.
