The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 is the first domestic T20 competition in India, where the top Ranji sides bat and bowl their respective battles in the shortest format. This tournament also provides a platform for emerging talent to showcase their skills and for India’s national selectors to spot potential stars for international assignments.
The Elite stage is split into groups, with teams competing against one another in a round-robin format. Winners and the top teams from each group enter the knockout stages, culminating in a grand final. Teams are awarded points for a win, tie, or no-result, against teams equal on points, NRR is taken into consideration.
