Babar, Shaheen in PAK Squad For SA Tests
In the last Test Series against West Indies, Babar extreme5 to 45 runs in four innings, retained in the side. Shaheen returns to Test Cricket after almost a year’s absence, with encouraging results in the 2025 Asia Cup. The PCB has decided to maintain the status quo with Shan Masood as Pakistan’s Test captain despite the southpaw’s having overseen only three wins out of twelve Tests.

The team, tentative to get snipped before the first Test in Lahore, is a perfect blend of experience and youth.
Three uncapped players – left-arm spinner Asif Afridi, wrist-spinner Faisal Akram, and wicketkeeper-batsman Rohail Nazir – have been given a chance to train with the senior side.
Pak vs SA first Test shall take place at Gaddafi Stadium from October 12 to 16.
Second will be at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to 24.
