Central Contracts for England Cricketers
The ECB announced the centrally contracted players for the 2025-26 season on November 4, 2025. The list comprises a total of 26 players and spans from October 2025 to September 2026.
The board has kept 21 of those players and has given new contracts to 5 players. Sonny Baker, Liam Dawson, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Overton, and Luke Wood have all been signed for the very first time.

At the same time, seven of the players from the previous contract period have been released. Leading the list is Jonny Bairstow along with players like Jack Leach, Liam Livingstone, Olly Stone, Reece Topley, John Turner, and the recently retired Chris Woakes.
The players who have contracts for the current season have been signed for two years and one year deals. In addition, the ECB has also hired four more players on development contracts.

Salaries of England Cricketers
According to various reports, the salary of an England cricketer is around 130,000 to 800,000 pounds per year.
Players involved in one of the two limited-overs formats are said to receive the minimum pay band of 130,000 pounds. A player with a three-format will receive the maximum salary of 800,000 pounds.
Match Fees of England Cricketers
Besides the high salary, England players are also paid handsome match fees.
The match fees for a Test match will be 12,500 pounds for each player. The ECB gives them 5,000 pounds for an ODI game. And the match fee for a T20I is 3,500 pounds.
