The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Trophy Tour recently passed through Indore and the city was abuzz. It was a full on celebration ahead of the big tournament next year, according to the ICC.
Indore, a city with a rich history and lots of cricket fans, gave the trophy a warm welcome. It visited several of the city’s iconic spots like Rajwada Palace, Gandhi Hall, Central Museum, Sirpur Lake and Pitra Parvat.
One of the best part of the 5 day visit was seeing the trophy at schools all over Indore. These schools included The Emerald Heights International School, Niranjana Girls School, Emerald Heights World School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Bhavans Prominent International School and Sanmati Higher Secondary School. The students welcomed the trophy with honor guards, played cricket and trivia and won cool ICC stuff. This got them super excited for the World Cup.

To make it even more special, Aayushi Shukla who plays for India U-19 team, visited Bhavans Prominent International School. She shared her story and chatted with the students and encouraged the young cricketers especially the girls to dream big.
On the last day the trophy visited Holkar Stadium. This is one of the venues where the tournament will be held. There was a press event there where people could click pictures with the trophy. High ranking officials from Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) like Honorary Secretary Sanjeev Rao, Vice President Ramnik Saluja, CAO Rohit Pandit, Honorary Joint Secretary Siddhayani Patni and Honorary Treasurer Pawan Jain spoke to the media. Former cricketers Sandhya Agarwal and Chitra Bajpai also spoke and shared their thoughts on Indore’s love for cricket.
The trophy tour is trying to get as many fans as possible to see the trophy before the World Cup. It’s doing this through events at iconic places and media interactions. After Indore, the tour will move to other cities in India and Sri Lanka. Next stop is Mumbai.September 30 to November 2.
