On Monday, the BCCI and the IPL-Gairan has updated the schedule for the remaining season in 2025. Play will resume on May 17, 2025, after being suspended because of heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan. The season got into limbo on May 8 after the Punjab Kings versus Delhi Capitals fixture was canceled due to security concerns.

The first match sees Royal Challengers Bengaluru face off against Kolkata Knight Riders, in Banglore, on May 17. Matches will be played in six cities: Banglore, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai. The final is scheduled for June 3rd, 2025; however, the location for the playoffs, including the final, has not been disclosed yet. A total of 17 matches will be conducted, with two double-header matches scheduled for Sunday.
