After India’s loss in the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, things are turning out to be more chaotic than ever. As India is looming at a series defeat heading into the Sydney Test, reports have emerged that there is dissent in the dressing room.
India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir, wasn’t pleased with India’s performance in the fourth Test, especially from batters, who have not shown enough fight throughout the series.
Amid all this, some dressing room talk given by Gambhir has come out in public, which is making matters worse for the whole team. And now India’s former all-rounder Irfan Pathan has reacted to all the happening with a cryptic post.
What did Pathan share on the dressing room leaks?
Pathan, who is in Australia to commentate for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, reacted to the media reports by saying whatever happens in the dressing room should remain inside the four walls.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Pathan wrote: “What happens in the dressing room, should stay in the dressing room!”
What happens in the dressing room, should stay in the dressing room!

Pathan is clearly indicating that the dressing room matters should be dealt with internally without them coming out in public.
Disagreement Within the Management
As per the report by The Indian Express, there are differences between Gambhir and the national selectors on several aspects. The issues start from selecting the playing XI to on-field strategies.
The report stated that the head coach wanted to include experienced Cheteshwar Pujara in the squad for India’s tour to Australia. But selectors declined the proposal.
Plus, Gambhir seems frustrated with the players not sticking to the strategies and adapting to the match situations. It has been learnt that he has had enough and will be drawing strategies himself with players expected to stand by them.
