England white-ball skipper Jos Buttler has reacted to recent 10-point guidelines for India players imposed by the BCCI. After India’s disastrous home series against New Zealand, followed by a tour of Australia, the Indian board decided to bring in some disciplinary guidelines for the players. The policies have brought diverse reactions not just from the Indian cricket fraternity but the other cricket fraternity too.
Recently, India skipper Rohit Sharma was accidentally caught on mic expressing his concerns on the policies. Meanwhile, ahead of the five-match T20I series, Buttler reacted to the policies. He said that in the modern day, it is important to have families around the players.
“…that’s a loaded question, isn’t it?” Buttler said on the eve of the five-match series against the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian T20 side.
“I think it’s important. We live in a day and age now, which is a very modern world, and I think it’s great to be able to have families on the tour with you and try and enjoy that,” he added.
“There’s a lot of cricket, people spend a long time away from home, and I think post-COVID all that’s been highlighted as well. Absolutely, I don’t think it affects the cricket too much.”

It is important to lighten the cricket load with family: Jos Buttler
The two-time World Cup winner for England further added that given the amount of cricket the players participate these days, family time becomes more important as it helps lighten the load from the players’ minds.
“I think it’s something that is very manageable. Personally, from my point of view, I think it’s really important to try and be able to share that with your family and lighten the load on being away from home,” he explained.
