Hayden gave a shout-out to Prabhsimran during the game break, comparing his six-hitting prowess with that of MS Dhoni. Hayden fondly recollected the 54- off-29-ball masterpiece by Dhoni against Kings XI Punjab in 2010, when he scored 16 runs in that last over against Irfan Pathan.
That boy has power. In 2010, young MS Dhoni was hitting them big in the final over. Prabhsimran has the same kind of qualities. His bat is as fast as his feet are quick. He probably is not too tall, but he combined placement with power and barely showed any fear. Meanwhile, Prabhsimran was talking about being consistent with over 400 runs this season. This will be his best IPL season so far, and he still has at least three games to play. He said, “Mera focus now is to stay longer at the crease rather than scoring quick 20s or 30s.”
