Great news for Lucknow SuperGiants! It looks like their fast bowler Mayank Yadav has bounced back from the injuries that kept him out of the game at the start of the IPL 2025 season. After dealing with some bothersome back and toe injuries, he’s set to rejoin his teammates just in time for their match against the Rajasthan Royals on April 19.
According to a report from MyKhel, Mayank has wrapped up his rehab and is expected to be back with the squad as early as Tuesday. It’s encouraging to hear that he has fully recovered from those injuries that threatened his chances of playing this season. A source from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) said, “He is fighting fit and should be raring to go now,” which really gets fans hopeful about his return.
Fans have missed seeing Mayank in action, especially as he’s known for his speed and skill in bowling. His absence was felt after he injured his back during India’s T20I series against Bangladesh. Although he seemed like he was on the fast track to recovery, a sudden toe injury threw a wrench in his plans and complicated his return to the IPL this year.
There were moments when it seemed he might have to sit out for the rest of the season given his injury history, but thankfully, it appears he has managed to recover and is eager to show his skills again on the field.
On the side of Lucknow SuperGiants, they’re currently sitting in a strong position at fourth place in the IPL 2025 standings, having secured four wins out of their six matches so far. This evening, they’ll take on the legendary MS Dhoni and his CSK team at the Ekana Stadium, which is bound to be an exciting match for all the fans.
