Mitchell Marsh is the T20I captain for Australia and has been having a breathtaking IPL 2025. True to his power hitting, he reached the 5000-run mark in T20 during the final game of the season.
He was 15 runs short of that milestone against RCB and reached it on the last ball of the powerplay. He even crossed the 600-run mark this season, something he never did before in any IPL year. Along with Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran, he has become a force for LSG, finally showing his value after some inconsistent performances in the past.
Mitchell’s T20 journey began way back in 2009 during a debut for Western Australia. He has two hundreds and 32 fifties to his name and has done well in the BBL.

Injuries seem to have slowed him down, and IPL 2025 saw him unable to bowl owing to health concerns. Still, he came up with the bat, registering his sixth 50 of the season versus RCB. Australia hopes that he maintains this form as they look to return to winning ways in the 2026 T20 World Cup.
