An 82-ball century was scored by Priyansh Arya in the first unofficial ODI between India A and Australia A at Green Park, Kanpur, on Wednesday. Arya played an attacking innings that consisted of 11 fours and five sixes, only to fall two balls later attempting to hit Tanveer Sangha down the ground but was caught by the fielder at long-off.
The opener contributed to a 135-run partnership for the first wicket with Prabhsimran Singh off 123 deliveries after Australia A elected to field.
The 24-year-old opened his account with a cut shot in the opening over and, throughout, took frontal attacks to the bowlers, driving any ball that was overpitched or wide in great style. He hit the first six of the match off Sam Elliot, pulling him over deep square-leg in high style.

Todd Murphy started well, but Arya took control immediately, hitting him for three boundaries in the same over. After getting to the fifty in 60 balls, Arya accelerated and completed the hundred in the next 22 balls.
Since this was the only occasion Arya played in India A colours and he was picked in the squad only for the 1st ODI, Abhishek Sharma will take his place for the next two matches in Kanpur.
