“Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Sandeep Sharma ruled out for the rest of the IPL 2025 season due to incomplete diagnosis from a broken finger during the last match against Gujarat Titans at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Despite the injury he bowled through all his overs.
The Team stated, “After suffering fractured his finger, Sandeep Sharma has been ruled out for the rest of season. He really had great determination to continue playing despite the pain. We all wish him a speedy recovery.”

This season so far, Sandeep has played out 10 matches, taking up nine wickets as at now. He has so far played 137 IPL matches and has taken 146 wickets. Riyan Parag, the stand-in captain for RR spoke about Sandeep’s injury during toss against Mumbai Indians.
“We did this a couple of games ago, said play one after another and know what we can achieve if we play well. We want everyone to feel free to play their game. A couple of changes: Hasaranga has a slight injury, so Kumar Kartikeya is in, and from Sandy (Sandeep Sharma), with a broken finger, Madhwal comes in.”
Rajasthan Royals captain won the toss against MI and opted to bowl first.
