As India gets ready to kick off the Women’s World Cup from September 30 to November 2, T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav had some good words to say about Jemimah Rodrigues. India starts against Sri Lanka at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. This time they want to do better than 2017 when they reached the final but lost to England in a close match at Lord’s.
Yadav on JioHotstar said, Seeing someone from Mumbai who has played so many local games and represented the state before playing for India is great. Jemimah has always been a strong player not just in World Cups but in other series too. World Cup is big chance and I am confident she will do well because she is a great team player, always there for others. She brings so much energy to the field, we have all seen.

Rodrigues has scored 1457 runs in ODIs with an average of 32.38 and a strike rate of 87.88. Her highest score is 123 against South Africa. She had to sit out the rest of the ODI series against Australia due to viral fever. Tejal Hasabnis replaced her in the squad.
Indian wicketkeeper Sanju Samson also praised Richa Ghosh saying she is composed and talented. We all enjoy watching Richa Ghosh. The way she bats and keeps wickets, she seems calm and confident. There is a lot to learn from her. It’s not easy playing for your country and she has put in a lot of work, Samson said. Ghosh has played 42 ODI matches and scored 904 runs with an average of 28.25 and a strike rate of 98.26 with 6 half centuries.
