Vipraj has been making waves ever since he and teammate Ashutosh Sharma pulled off a thrilling win against Lucknow Super Giants in their opening game of the season. During Thursday’s match, Vipraj really shone, taking two wickets and only allowing 18 runs in his four overs. His notable achievement during that game was getting Kohli out, which is no small feat.

But things took a turn when Salt was run out during a bit of confusion with Kohli, who scored 22 runs off 14 balls. Together, they formed a solid opening partnership of 61 runs from only 24 balls. Unfortunately for Bengaluru, things changed when Vipraj came into the attack. He bowled a fantastic fifth over, conceding only two runs and immediately putting pressure on the batsmen. Mohit Sharma backed that up with a tight over right after, which made it even tougher for the Bengaluru players.
Feeling the pressure from the dot deliveries, Devdutt Padikkal decided to go for a big hit against Mohit’s bowling, but it didn’t have the power he hoped for, allowing Axar Patel to take a straightforward catch at the edge of the circle.
