Many teams that are participating in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy have gone on to reveal their squad for the upcoming ICC event,but being the host nation Pakistan so far has not done it. However if the latest reports are to be believed Pakistan may announce their squad for the ICC champions trophy 2025 in the next couple of days.
As per the sources of PCB, Pakistan cricket is going to unveil their squad for both ICC champions trophy and the tri series in the coming two days. The squad will be announced before the players leave for their first match of the tri series against New Zealand.
Saim Ayub’s availability a big question mark?
One of the biggest reasons for PCB to delay their squad announcement is Saim Ayub the talented young batsman is currently out of action due to ankle injury and is under rehabilitation. If Ayub remains unavailable for selection then One of Fakhar Zaman aur Imam ul haq might be back in the squad. The board is also willing to have Khushdil Shah and Usman Khan as backups.
