The fourth T20 International of the five-match series between India and England is set to sparkle at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune on January 31, Friday. The match is a must-win for England to stay in the T20I series against India. The English team is coming into Friday’s match on the back of a 26-run win against India in the third T20I match played at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on January 28.
Sanju Samson, the Indian opener and captain Suryakumar Yadav, have been included in this series, and expectations for them would be sky-high. If India wins in Pune, it’ll be an unassailable lead at 3-1.
There should be an eye on the pacer Arshdeep Singh. This talented left-armer amassed an excellent 98 wickets in just 62 T20Is he played but was rested for the third T20I; it’s quite interesting to see whether he will play the fourth. Mohammed Shami entered the playing XI for the last match and bowled three overs. He’ll be keen to put forth a performance and prove his fitness on Friday.
In the three matches played until now, Varun Chakravarthy has taken 10 wickets, an inspiring early start, and with the same intention, he hopes to trouble English batters in the next match in Pune.
Rinku Singh, who missed the second and third T20Is due to fitness issues, is fit for the fourth match and is likely to replace Dhruv Jurel in the playing XI. Whether Ramandeep Singh or Shivam Dube will get a look in for the playing XI, replacing either Washington Sundar or Ravi Bishnoi, will be an interesting one to watch.
