The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy returns for the first time since 2017, with the tournament scheduled on 9 March to reward each of its eight teams with a hefty $2.24 million (approximately INR 20 crore) and the coveted trophy. Second place will get $1.12 million, while the two semi-final losers will get $560,000 each a total prize pool of $6.9 million, 53 percent more than in 2017. Every match counts in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy each group match win is worth well over $34,000. Teams finishing fifth and sixth will each get $350,000 with the seventh and eighth receiving $140,000 each.

Further, the eight competing teams will receive $125,000 each as a participation fee for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.
The first ICC Cricket world tournament in Pakistan since 1996 will take place in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi over two weeks for a colorful blend of excitement.
The format this time sees the eight teams split into two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy will be played every four years in which the best eight teams of the world in the ODI format will take part. The Women’s Champions Trophy will debut in T20 in 2027.
