On February 19, 2025, the ICC Champions Trophy will be held, with the match commencing at the National Stadium, Karachi, between the defending champions Pakistan and New Zealand. On Thursday, February 20, the No.1 ODI side, India, will kick off its campaign against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and then on Sunday, February 23, in the second Group A match, it will take on its archrival Pakistan in Dubai.
The Indian team will start as favorites among 8 teams vying for the title, being very interesting if the Rohit Sharma-led side can redeem some of the pre-tournament expectations in Dubai and win their second ICC trophy in less than 10 months.
India is the most successful team in the Champions Trophy’s history and has come into the tournament on the back of a 3-0 victory over England in the home series.
Before the start of India’s first match in the Champions Trophy 2025, let’s take a look at India’s record in Champions Trophy matches played so far.
