All-rounder Kedar Jadhav follows Captain Cool’s footsteps and announces his retirement in the similar fashion. The cricketer took to his Instagram account on 3 June to announce his retirement which resembled the post of MS Dhoni when he announced his retirement as a former captain in 2020.
Kedar Jadhav, MSD companion posted a video where he posted a slideshow of photos along with the companion players and Dhoni from his career with a song from Kishor Da’s album Playlist playing in the background.

Kedar took to Instagram and posted a video from his career memories where he can be seen living the Cric-life with fellow cricketers along with the captain cool. The 39-year-old player captioned this as

He confirmed his retirement making it official through this social media post at 3 PM on Monday 3 June.
Kedar followed the same pattern of the post as MSD where Dhoni captioned back on 15 August 2020 as he retired from cricket a year after he played in the 2019 World Cup in England. Where Dhoni captioned it as
“Thank you so much for your love and support from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired,” Dhoni said, sharing a slideshow of photos from his career with one of his favorite songs, ‘Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shair Hoon,’ playing in the background.

Kedar had an impressive and impactful career across various formats, demonstrating his versatility and skill. In One Day Internationals (ODIs), Jadhav played 73 matches, batting in 52 innings he has accumulated a total of 1389 runs.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Jadhav participated in 95 matches and scored 1208 runs. His highest score in the IPL is 69. He was part of the CSK and RCB franchises.
Kedar has been a consistent performer in the domestic as well as the other formats of cricket, the last time he was seen playing a competitive match was in February when he played for Maharashtra against Vidarbha in a Ranji Trophy game in Pune. Jadhav was in good form, scoring 379 runs in 5 matches, including a century and a half-century, during Maharashtra’s 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season.
