The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has become famous not just for its competitive spirit but also for some nail-biting matches where victories often come down to just a handful of runs. But sometimes, the games are lopsided, and one team completely dominates the other. Celebrating the history of the PSL, let’s check out five of the biggest wins by teams in the tournament, based on their winning margins.
5. Islamabad United vs. Peshawar Zalmi (PSL 2025) – Islamabad took the lead with a whopping 102-run victory over Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi in their fifth match of the 2025 season, played in Rawalpindi. Batting first, Islamabad stacked up an impressive 243 runs for 5 in their 50 overs. Sahibzada Farhan stole the show with a stunning century off just 52 balls. Other players like Agha Salman and Jason Holder also smacked quick runs in the final overs. In reply, Zalmi struggled badly. Captain Babar had a tough day, scoring only one run, and the whole team was bowled out for 141 runs in 18.2 overs. Mohammad Haris tried to put up a fight with a swift 87 off 47 balls, but it wasn’t enough. Imad Wasim put the icing on the cake with his excellent bowling, taking three wickets for just 26 runs.

4. Lahore Qalandars vs. Islamabad United (PSL 2023) – This match was a rough one for Islamabad as they faced Lahore Qalandars, who handed them a 110-run defeat. Lahore batted first, racking up 200 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Interestingly, no one in their batting lineup scored a half-century, but Abdullah Shafique made a solid contribution with 45 runs off 24 balls. When it was Islamabad’s turn to bat, they just couldn’t get going and collapsed for a mere 90 runs in under 14 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 23, and Colin Munro 18, but even with those, the extras were the third-highest scorer on the team. Lahore’s bowlers, particularly David Wiese and Rashid Khan, wreaked havoc, taking down seven Islamabad wickets between them.
3. Multan Sultans vs. Quetta Gladiators (PSL 2021) – In a striking display, Multan Sultans charged to a 110-run win against Quetta Gladiators during match 25 of the PSL 2021 in Abu Dhabi. This match marked a milestone as it was the first time any team in the PSL won by over 100 runs. Shan Masood led the way for Multan with a brilliant 73 off 42 balls, and Johnson Charles supported him with a quickfire 47 off 24. Batting first, they scored 183 runs for 5 in their 20 overs. The Gladiators couldn’t keep up, being bowled out for just 73 runs in 12.1 overs, thanks to superb bowling from Imran Tahir, who took three wickets for just seven runs.
2. Multan Sultans vs. Quetta Gladiators (PSL 2022 – The next year, in PSL 2022, Multan Sultans delivered an even bigger thrashing, this time by 117 runs again to the Quetta Gladiators during match 25 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Batting first, Multan unleashed a powerful performance, scoring an impressive 245 runs for 3 in 20 overs. Openers Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan made substantial contributions, with Rizwan remaining not out at 83 off 54 balls. Rilee Rossouw also joined the party by smashing 71 runs off just 26 balls. The Gladiators, in their response, barely made it to 128 runs in less than 16 overs, with their top scorers being Umar Akmal with a quick 50 and Jason Roy, who made 38.

1. Lahore Qalandars vs. Islamabad United (PSL 2023)
– Topping the list, Lahore Qalandars outclassed Islamabad United with a 119-run victory, the largest winning margin in PSL history so far. Fakhar Zaman put on a magnificent show, scoring 115 runs off 57 balls, filled with sixes and fours, leading his team to a total of 226 runs for 5. Kamran Ghulam and Sam Billings also added quick runs during the innings. When United went out to chase, they faltered badly, ending up with just 107 runs, with none of their batters able to hit more than 20 runs. Rashid Khan shined with the ball, claiming four wickets for just 21 runs. Zaman Khan and Haris Rauf supported him well, grabbing two wickets each to seal a fabulous win for the Qalandars.
