The Lanka Premier league is a twenty twenty over format domestic regional league of Sri Lanka. This league started back at the times of COVID-19 and this year is its fifth edition in a row after success of previous seasons. Administered by the Sri-Lanka Cricket, this league follows a double round robin format that has league matches and Playoff matches.
LPL 2024 Season is ongoing and with matches each day moving to its conclusion finale scheduled on the 21 July with its fifth edition champion. This season features 5 different domestic city based franchises including the Galle Marvels, Jaffna Kings, Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Sixers and Kandy Falcons.
Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 Points Table
The LPL 2024 have a total number of 5 teams competing to lift the coveted trophy in their names and as per the scheduled match and respective fixtures of the teams their results have been reflected on the points table. The top four teams after league matches will see each other in the Semi Final and then two teams from there we’ll go for the ultimate final battle.

As per the current standings on the points table the Galle Marvels and Jaffna kings have qualified for the Knockout stage of the tournament and are waiting for the other two teams to be onboard with them.

The Lanka premier league edition five was started on July 1 2024, with an inaugural match between the last year defending champions Kandy Falcons and Dambulla sixers. This edition of LPL will conclude with a finale on July 21 between the top two teams who win the semi finals knockouts.

The top four teams on the points table will clash for the knockout stage, where the top two teams on the table will battle in the Qualifier1, and the winner of this qualifier will get a direct access to the finale whereas the loser will face the winner of the Eliminator match in the Qualifier 2. Whoever wins here, wins a ticket to the final match which is scheduled on the 21st July 2024.
The fifth edition will get its champion after a span of 21 days. The 5 different city based domestic teams will go in head to head battle in a total of 24 T20s scheduled at 3 different venues being the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele, R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo and the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla.
