In a recent update concerning the IPL 2025, the BCCI has shifted match number 65 between RCB and SRH from Bengaluru to Lucknow. The reason behind the shift in venue is due to heavy rain and flooding in parts of the city. Originally to be held on May 23, the match was shifted as Bengaluru has a yellow alert in effect until the day. It has been heavily raining in the southern parts of India for over a week now, and the last game in Bengaluru, wherein RCB was supposed to meet KKR on May 17, was called off.
RCB could not even practice after that, along with having been informed about this venue change only on Tuesday. This change of venue spells the utter disappointment of an RCB home game, with the last two league games now being held at Ekana Stadium. On the other side, Sunrisers Hyderabad, who beat LSG on Monday, had their plans of flying to Bengaluru cancelled as well.

RCB currently sits second in the points table and has already qualified for the playoffs. After May 23, the last league game will take place on May 27, against LSG. Apart from this venue change for RCB-LSG, the IPL 2025 final has been earmarked for Ahmedabad, with two playoff matches slated to take place in Mullanpur.
