PCB has announced the 15 member squad for the T20I series against Bangladesh. The three matches are scheduled to be played on July 20, 22 and 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Many fans were surprised to see some of Pakistan’s top players being dropped. Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi will not play. Haris Rauf is out due to a hamstring injury he sustained while playing in the 2025 Major League Cricket in the US.
Shadab Khan is recovering from shoulder surgery and will not play for about three months. Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr are recovering from old injuries.
Mohammad Nawaz is back after being out since January 2024. Sufiyan Muqeem, a left-arm spinner who has played well locally is back. Fast bowler Salman Mirza is in the team for the first time. Mohammad Abbas Afridi who was out with an injury has been asked to return. Mohammad Haris who played a key game against Bangladesh in their last T20I series will bat at number three again
Salman Ali Agha will captain the team but no one is named as vice-captain. The team has a mix of veterans and new players.

Pakistan beat Bangladesh 3-0 in a T20I series in Pakistan recently. Now they are in Dhaka. Before this series Bangladesh is playing a three match ODI series against Sri Lanka and then T20I games before they go home.
