Rohit Sharma will miss the first Test against Australia in Perth due to needing more time with his wife after the birth of their second child. Jasprit Bumrah, the vice-captain, will lead the team in his absence. Rohit is expected to return for the second Test in Adelaide. Devdutt Paddikal has been added to the squad to replace Rohit for the first match.

India will play a two-day warm-up match under lights against the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra. Scheduled for November 30 and December 1 at Manuka Oval, this match will serve as crucial preparation for the day-night Test against Australia in Adelaide.
