The 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 2025) is all set to begin. The action returns on August 29. It will see a total of 108 league matches, which will be played across four different venues. The 10th season winner, Puneri Paltan, will also try their luck in the upcoming season.
They entered the last season as defending champion but could not keep the consistency. As a result, they finished 8th on the table. The franchise has worked pretty well during the auction and grabbed good players. Mohit Goyat is all set to lead the team into the new season.
Puneri Paltan have not been able to keep consistency in the PKL history. Despite a title to their name, they have been poor in other seasons. They had a pretty good start to the PKL 11 but lost the momentum in the other half, resulting in facing an early exit. The Paltan has appointed Ajay Thakur as the new head coach. They also had some good signings.

Captain Mohit Goyat will lead the charge, as the franchise has kept their core players retained, like Abinesh Nadarajan, Aslam Inamdar, and Pankaj Mohite. Sachin Tanwar’s addition will strengthen the raid unit of the team. The experienced pro Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh’s entry to the team along with star all-rounder Gurdeep will give the right balance to the side.
