1. India vs Hong Kong – 256 Runs (Karachi, June 25, 2008)

India’s win over Hong Kong in the 2008 Asia Cup is still the record. India scored 374/4 with Suresh Raina (101) and MS Dhoni (109*) playing well against the other team’s bowlers.
What made this game special was India’s ability to try out players and still play well. India was testing players before big tournaments. The fact that two players who don’t usually open scored hundreds showed how much talent the team had. It also showed that teams like Hong Kong had problems with the demands of top level international cricket.
2. Pakistan vs Nepal – 238 Runs (Multan, August 30, 2023)

Nepal, playing in their first Asia Cup, got a tough lesson from Pakistan. Pakistan scored 342/6 with Babar Azam scoring 151 and Iftikhar Ahmed 109*. Nepal scored 104.
This win was important as Pakistan took the game seriously. They used it to prepare for harder games. It also showed the big difference in experience between well known Test nations and new teams. This difference often shows in tournaments like this.
3. Pakistan vs Bangladesh – 233 Runs (Dhaka, June 2, 2000)

In the early 2000s, Pakistan had many great players and they proved it against Bangladesh in Dhaka. Mohammad Yousuf and Inzamam helped Pakistan score 320/3. Bangladesh was bowled out for 87.
This loss was hard for Bangladesh, especially at home. It showed the problems they had adapting to ODIs after becoming a Test nation. For Pakistan it was a great game that proved they could beat teams anywhere. The match showed how far Bangladesh needed to improve.
4. Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh – 158 Runs (Karachi, June 30, 2008)

In a thrilling game in the 2008 Asia Cup, Jayasuriya scored 130 and Sangakkara 121. Sri Lanka scored 332 and bowled out Bangladesh for 174.This win reminded people of Sri Lanka’s best days when they were known for aggressive starts. Jayasuriya’s innings reminded fans of the 1996 World Cup. It was rare to see a team play with such aggression in both innings.
5. Pakistan vs Hong Kong – 173 Runs (Colombo, July 18, 2004)
Younis Khan (144) and Shoaib Malik (118) helped Pakistan score 343/5. Then their bowlers bowled out Hong Kong for 170. The 173-run win is one of Pakistan’s biggest in Asia Cup history.
This game is lost in the history books but should be remembered because Pakistan played so well. They didn’t relax even against a weaker team. The batting was strong and the bowling was accurate. It showed skill and focus which is often missing in games against lower ranked teams. Pakistan played every game as a chance to show their strength.
