Oman latest Controversy
The current Oman squad has undergone a lot of changes since T20 World Cup 2024. Only Jatinder Singh, Mohammad Nadeem and Sufyan Mehmood are part of the team.
Big changes happened after the players had a fallout with the Oman Cricket Board. Players were not paid what they were owed from T20 World Cup 2024.
ESPNcricinfo reported in June 2025 that the board finally agreed to pay the players their prize money from the tournament. They said it was delayed due to procedure.
Players were not paid soon after the event. They refused to play for the team until they were paid and it created a tough situation.
Board suspended contracts of 11 players from the 15 member squad and most of them had to leave Oman.
