This may have happened a few weeks ago. There were reports stating that the Pakistan selectors were considering bringing back Babar Azam into the T20I setup against South Africa. The batter was denied a berth in the Asia Cup because of his low strike rate, but with Pakistan batting so poorly, the management wished to get their star player back.
However, a fresh report has emerged, and there is no good news for Babar. The team management are against his inclusion in the T20I team, but the selectors are keen to have him in there. The Men in Green had a horrendous batting display in the Asia Cup, and with that in mind, the selectors want Babar to back up their batting.
However, it was reported by Pakistani journalist Saleem Khaliq that the team management are in doubt, believing that Pakistan needs youngsters in the squad.

Why the team management not in favour of Babar Azam inclusion
The captain-coach duo of Salman Ali Agha and Mike Hesson want a younger crop of players in the side, and despite the recent failure in the Asia Cup, Pakistan wants to maintain the same squad for the T20 World Cup next year.
In the middle of Pakistan opening combination, everything is settled, and the middle order is stacked as per mention, hence no place for Babar to play in top six.
The Asia Cup T20 squad was announced on May 27; therein Babar Azam was not to be present, and head coach Mike Hesson was quoted stating the reason why the star player missed out on the berth.
“The strike rates required in the power play, especially in good conditions, are different now than they used to be. Players ask for honesty, they want to know what they need to work on. If you provide that feedback, there’s always a way back for them,” said Hesson.
So, while the selectors are keen on having him in the team, Hesson and captain probably are not.
