Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have begun thinking about strengthening their side for next season after 2025 found them lifting their first-ever IPL title after 18 years. They may say goodbye to some famous names like Liam Livingstone and Rashika Salam while preparing their list of released players for 2026. A glance through the top three names on such a list ensues.
1. Liam Livingstone:
RCB bought Livingstone for Rs. 8.75 crore, but he failed to impress during IPL 2025, managing just 112 runs in 10 innings while top scoring with 54 against the Gujarat Titans. He failed to impact in most other innings, with little bowling amid just 2 wickets for 4 matches. Due to this inconsistency, he finds himself in the list of probable release players by RCB.
2. Rasikh Salam Dar:
Rasikh Salam Dar entered the auction at 6 crores before IPL 2025 but played only two matches. In those games, he gave away 35 runs and took one wicket. Only a few chances to prove himself have put him on the list for release as well, and it may just be wise for RCB to start investing in young Indian talents.
3. Lungi Ngidi:
South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi joined RCB at his base price of Rs. 1 crore. He played in two games and had a commendable debut show against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Unfortunately, he did not do well in the second match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, conceding 51 runs for the loss of one wicket. With plenty of fast resources RCB might not be interested in keeping him for the next season.
