Aiden Markram made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut on September 21, 2021. He represented Punjab Kings against Rajasthan Royals in Dubai after coming in as a replacement in the middle of the season.
Markram came to bat at No. 3 while chasing a target of 186 runs. He scored an unbeaten 26 runs off 20 balls but failed to take Punjab over the ropes.

Aiden Markram Performance in IPL 2024
After being removed as Sunrisers Hyderabad’s captain, Aiden Markram put up a lacklustre performance in the IPL 2024. He scored 220 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 124.29, including only one fifty.
That fifty, though, came in a winning cause as the South African batter helped Hyderabad chase 166 runs against Chennai Super Kings.
Aiden Markram, the South African all-rounder and captain, entered the IPL 2025 auction with a base price of INR 2 crore. Initially, there were no takers, but Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) eventually jumped in and secured him with the winning bid.

Aiden Markram IPL Auction Price & History:
Aiden Markram entered the IPL in 2021. Punjab Kings roped him in as a replacement at an undisclosed price.
In the 2022 mega auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad got him at a bargain price, raising the winning bid of INR 2.6 crore. The same season, the franchise appointed Markram as their new captain.
Hyderabad retained Markram for the next two seasons at the same price, though he lost his captaincy in 2024.
