Rajasthan Royals (RR) batsmen, over the years, have developed some great combinations in the Indian Premier League (IPL) that we still remember.
The credit is absolutely to Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who shared 166 runs for Rajasthan Royals in that season and thus set the highest partnership in the IPL history by the players of this franchise against the Gujarat Titans in 2025.
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur hosted a thrilling match where the cheering crowd of all the spectators present in the stadium was on the side of Rajasthan’s opening batsmen as they went for the daunting target of 210 runs.
Sooryavanshi quickly got to his fifty in just 17 deliveries before powering into the next level. Among faster scorers in IPL, he was undoubtedly the second-fastest after having put up his hundred in just 35 balls – the fastest ever by an Indian and the second-fastest overall.
On his part, Jaiswal played his role to the T with an elegant fifty. Not only did their partnership touch 100 at a remarkable rate, which is barely 7.4 overs, but Sooryavanshi also got out after reaching the milestone.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi shattered the record and became the youngest centurion in T20 cricket at the age of just 14 years and 32 days not only in IPL but also in the entire T20 format.
Rajasthan Royals used to be the customers of the highest partnership, which was made up of Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal’s 155-run stand against Delhi Capitals in Mumbai in IPL 2022.

Among the significant partnerships for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL history are the 150-run stand of Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson, which eventually got them the highest second-wicket partnership, in a thrilling match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2021, that is.
Moreover, apart from pairing up to the last two mentioned partnerships, Samson is also in the list with the highest third and fourth wicket IPL partnerships for RR.
In the very first 2008 IPL season, the first RR century partnership was created by Shane Watson and Graeme Smith. The 104-run partnership of the two players for the third wicket assisted Rajasthan Royals in claiming the victory over the home side Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
In contrast, Sanju Samson and Ben Stokes are among those who have the distinction of being the first players of RR to form a 150-run partnership that is recorded in the history of IPL. The couple’s unbroken partnership of 152 runs for the third wicket not only brought out the Royals’ eight-wicket victory against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020, but also more than that.
